I use mainly Somerset  grown Willow  supplied  by Coates of Meare Green

alongside special coloured varieties which I grow myself (black  and grey)

or get from other specialist growers.

I have learnt about the use of Willow since 2004 on various short courses at West Dean College with Jackie Binns M,Des, R.C.A. and Mary Butcher.  Also with Mary Crabb at Amberley Museum  and Christine Llewellyn at Walberton. I have been a full time basket maker since early 2013.

I am a member of The Basketmakers' Association which exists to set standards of workmanship and teaching, but which does not imply endorsement or responsibility

of the association for a particular maker's work.
